OM Digital Solutions announced the OM-1 Mark II IR infrared imaging system on April 9, 2026, opening Japanese business orders with availability planned for mid-May. It targets applications such as inspection and research.[1]
The system covers approximately 800–1100nm near-infrared imaging, with roughly 20MP capture and high-resolution shooting up to approximately 80MP. Magnetic IR and UV-IR cut filters support different observation conditions, and OM Capture enables computer-tethered operation.[1]
The announced kit includes the M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 12–45mm F4.0 PRO. It belongs to the business product range and is supplied under applicable purchasing and usage conditions. The announcement concerns a specialized system, rather than a generational replacement for the standard camera.[1]
